Hello,

I'm M staying at Tokyo University of Science's

Noda International Community House.

In this article, as an RA (Resident Assistant) working in the dormitory,

I've compiled the voices of current dorm residents living

in (Sophia (Jouchi) University)'s dedicated dorms—

people who actually said,

“This dorm food is delicious! You should try it!”—

into “3 Recommended Dorm Meal Menus.”

Please read on to the end with excitement, wondering

if you'll get to eat meals like these once you actually move in!

No.1:Rice with simmered Eel

“On dog days of summer,

Japanese traditionally eat simmered eel.

So you can feel the Japanese summer with this menu.

The sweet and savory flavors,

paired with the beautiful contrast of the shredded egg crepe, are truly appetizing.

It's a dish that lets you savor the flavors of Japan.

It's also so rare that it feels extra special!”

No.2:Assorted Tempura Platter

"As the name ‘assorted platter’ suggests,

you get a wide variety of tempura.

The sheer number of types pairs perfectly with the dipping sauce!

It's also delightful that the sauce is served warm,

which really enhances the umami flavor.

While I don't often get the chance to eat Japanese cuisine,

this dish lets me experience that authentic Japanese feel,

offering a unique deliciousness unlike anything else."

No.3:Pan cake

“This dessert features green tea (matcha) cream sandwiched between pancakes.

I was thrilled to find it available in the dorm.

These pancakes have an incredibly chewy and irresistible texture.

The matcha flavor is rich and strong.

It's not served often, so consider yourself lucky if you get to try it!”

Hidden Popular Menu Item: Bakudan Don (Bomb Rice)

“This rare menu item doesn't appear very often!

It features rice topped with scallion tuna, pickled daikon radish,

mountain yam, mekabu seaweed, and okra.

It's packed with ingredients and provides plenty of nutrition.

Even though it's a bowl of rice,

you can enjoy it without feeling guilty!

It's not a seafood bowl,but it offers a luxurious,

seafood bowl-like experience. We highly recommend it!"

Introduction of MISH (Meiji Gakuin University International Student House)

The students of Sophia University reside in Higashi Nakano Dormitory and Kasai International House

(both dedicated only for students of Sophia Univ.) .

Anyone who will enroll in Meiji Gakuin Univ. or consider to enroll,

please check the dormitory details from the link!

Tell us why you love Higashi Nakano Dormitory!

“First, the location is excellent.

It's just two stops from Shinjuku Station, making it absolutely perfect.

Also, since the dorm is on a main street,

it isn't scary to come home at night.

The studio-style rooms are another big plus.

They allow you to have plenty of personal time.

Most importantly, the dorm manager and dorm mother provide a sense of security.

They are wonderful people who genuinely care about the residents.

You can live in the dorm with complete peace of mind!”
